Teachers and school leaders often see the need for academic resources, enrichments and educational tools that cannot be funded by the school district. The Foundation is there to provide those resources for our students and minimize those shortfalls. Throughout the year, we organize a variety of fundraising events aimed at supporting our school.

The Campaign Monarch in October being the first of school year and the largest one, aiming to cover the big portion of yearly expected expenses.

In April, the Fun Run sees children of all grades join a fun race to raise funds.

In February, the Teacher Time Auction offers bidders valuable sessions with educators, providing children with unique experiences.

Real Voices, Real Impact

Hear from our members how each small “yes” made a difference in our school community and in their lives!

  • "At first, I was hesitant - I was intimidated because I had never attended a meeting and didn't have any experience.  I learned so much about the needs of the school (students and staff) and what enrichment programs were lacking from district funding.  It was a great way to meet other like-minded parents that were wanting to get more involved with their children's education and volunteer their time and energy to help serve the school and the community."

  • "It was eye opening to me to see how much MPTF does to enrich the student's school experience. From enabling specialized art, gardening, and PE classes to organizing school-wide events - school would look very different without MPTF. I find it very rewarding to help create these improvements to the students' time at school!"

  • "As both a parent and a teacher here at MRES, I see firsthand the incredible impact our Foundation has on our children's daily lives. Joining the Foundation isn't just about fundraising; it’s about building a legacy of support. By fostering strong relationships between our dedicated staff and our amazing families, we create a village that shows up for every event and fundraiser. Together, we bridge the gap—providing the special programs and essential supplies that turn a good education into an extraordinary one at MRES."

  • "I think I really enjoyed the relationships I formed: with other parents, teachers, and staff. I also liked having opportunities to engage with students outside of my daughter's classroom. I now see familiar faces out and about in the community that I earlier would never have recognized if it hadn't been for MPTF/MRES events. It's also so important for our kids to witness us firsthand caring for the community and modeling behavior centered around the well-being of others. "

  • As a chair for Around the World event, I witnessed warmth and compassion for each culture on that day. I wish the atmosphere would stay the same throughout the school year.
It was not easy to do the event all by oneself but a team of volunteers who would come early and leave late would've made the event easier for me.
Overall, I was proud of all the diversity in the school and all the table tenders for giving it their all!
