The Foundation held its board meeting on Tuesday, May 12. During the meeting, we reflected on this year’s activities and began looking ahead to next year’s events and roles.
Events That Need Community Effort to Continue
At this time, several events do not have a chairperson or committee. These beloved traditions can return next year only if our community feels excited to lift them together:
- Fall Festival
- Giving Tree
- Staff Appreciation Week
- Teacher Time Auction
- STEM Night
- Talent Show
- Book Fair (Fall and Spring)
- Art Walk
Roles We Hope to Fill:
We are also hoping to fill several roles that help keep our function running:
- Vice President
- Treasurers (2)
- Campaign Monarch Lead
- Volunteer Coordinator
- Hospitality
- Lost & Found Coordinator
- Spirit Wear
- Photographers
Events Paused for Now (But Not Gone Forever)
Two events have been tentatively removed from next year’s calendar for the moment. We would love to bring them back if families feel they are meaningful and want to help shape them:
- Monarch Night
- Movie Night
Exploring Grade‑Level Support
We also talked about the idea of room parents helping to support certain events by grade level. To explore this gently and collaboratively, we’ll be setting up a meeting with our room parent coordinator and current room parents to hear thoughts, ideas, and feedback.
Your Voice Truly Matters
We would love to hear what feels important to you, what you enjoy, and what you might be curious about. Please take a moment to fill out the survey and interest forms.
There is absolutely no commitment — even if you’re just wondering what a role involves, or if you’re sad to see an event go and want to help in any way, we would love to hear from you.
